Types of Membership

Individual Members:
Who can apply:  Retired Judges, Judicial Officers, Members of Judicial and Quasi-Judicial Bodies, Boards, Commissions, Tribunals and various Forums, Advocates on the rolls of the State Bar Council, Law Professors, Teachers, Researchers, and Non-practicing Law Graduates.

An Individual Member shall be entitled to attend and speak at a General Body Meeting, and shall have the right to a single vote thereat.

The annual membership is Rs 200/-

Affiliate Members:
Who can apply: Churches, Para-Church Missions, Institutions, Organizations, Groups and NGO, with similar aims and objectives as the Society.

Affiliate Members can attend the Annual General Body Meeting, but they shall not have the right to vote thereat.

The Annual Membership is Rs. 500/-

Associate Members:
Who can apply: Journalists, Social Workers, and Law Students at the graduate level, post graduate level or doctorate level.

Associate Members can also attend the Annual General Body Meeting, but they shall not have the right to vote thereat.

The Annual Membership is Rs. 50/-

State Affiliated Christian Legal Associations: 
Who can apply: State Level Associations of Legal Professionals constituted for the same objectives as the Society, provided they fulfil the following conditions:

•  It shall have a Written Constitution approved by the Christian Legal Association of India
• It shall have to include the term ‘Christian Legal Association’ (CLA) followed or preceded by the name of the state denoting the location and area of operation.
• It shall have a minimum of seven members
• It shall have been in existence for not less than six months at the time of application for affiliation
• A certificate of membership under the seal of the Society shall be issued to each CLA-State branch on admission to the membership of the society and such a certificate shall be conclusive evidence of membership.
• Every member of the society shall submit such returns and other information as may be required by the Christian Legal Association of India from time to time.
• The voting rights of the affiliated association will be in accordance to the numbers of members as given below: ( 7 -15 members  : One vote  15-25 members/  Two votes  26- 50 members : Three vote / 51 members and above : Four votes )

The Annual Membership is Rs. 700/-
